The metal brace is generally used for NHS treatments. Many of our patients have fun choosing their coloured elastics. We have even tried to match a formal dress!
Ceramic or ‘white’ braces are less visible on your teeth. They are a better option if you prefer something more discrete. We use the Clarity Advanced appliance.
Invisalign is custom made. We use a series of removable plastic aligners to move the teeth. These are easy to use and comfortable to wear. We are the most experienced providers of Invisalign in Northern Ireland.
At your first visit, you will be made welcome and your queries answered. If necessary, we will take x–rays, photographs and dental impressions. We will discuss the treatment options and any financial implications. This appointment will last 20 – 30 minutes.
Most of our treatments last 6 – 18 months. During the treatment your brace will need adjusted every 6 – 10 weeks. We have a number of patients who live in the UK mainland or abroad so this can be facilitated as necessary.
After your braces are removed, you will be asked to wear retainers. Usually, these are worn only at night and are removable. These are to avoid the teeth returning towards their original position and most of our patients now wear these indefinitely.
NHS treatment is offered to all patients (including adults) where possible. You must ‘qualify’ for NHS funding as it does not fund mild cases. Where no NHS options are available then metal braces would usually be available for £2800.00.
Private treatment is available to all patients. It provides you with the freedom to choose the brace best suited to your needs. There are no waiting lists and more flexible appointments are available.
The cost of treatment depends on the type of brace you choose and the complexity of the treatment required. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before you start treatment. There are no hidden costs with any of our private options and we do not charge interest if you decide to spread payments by instalments or direct debit. We accept payment by cash, cheque, most major credit / debit cards and direct debit.
